Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert circulating and peri-procedural nursing care in the Cath Lab and flex into Interventional Radiology as required
• Perform and assist with TEE monitoring and cardioversion procedures with precision and calm under pressure
• Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-procedure patient assessments and education to promote optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to ensure efficient, safe procedural workflows
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record and communicate changes in patient status
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cases as needed
• Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and ACLS protocols during interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with TEE and cardioversion procedures
• Proven experience in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (circulating, pre/post care) — required
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred (2-3 years preferred as noted)
• Ability to live within ~20 minutes of the facility and within ~30 minutes for call response
• Proof of influenza vaccination (mandated by the State of Maine)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in TEE monitoring and cardioversion support
• Strong knowledge of Cath Lab and IR equipment, supplies, and sterile field management
• Proficient in ACLS protocols and emergency response
• Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-acuity procedural environments
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
