Shift Type: Variable 8-hour shifts (days, evenings, or nights) with rotating coverage; specific start/end times vary by assignment and may include weekends. New Employee Orientation occurs Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a wide range of clinical laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology and blood bank
- Carry out quality control procedures and document results to ensure reliable patient testing
- Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff about test results and specimen needs
- Operate and maintain clinical laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime
- Provide direction and training to Medical Laboratory Assistants and contribute to competency testing
- Work independently while following established protocols and safety practices
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation for onboarding and regulatory checks, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field required
- Board eligible with ASCP or NCA; must obtain MT/CLS certification within one year of employment
- One to three years of related experience in clinical laboratory settings, or successful completion of a formal student internship
- Experience or familiarity with chemistry, blood bank, hematology and microbiology testing
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to support staff
- Up-to-date immunizations or titers for Hepatitis A and B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tdap and Polio as required
- Successful completion of background checks, drug screen, fit test/physical and required credential verifications prior to travel
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field

- Clinical laboratory instrumentation operation and troubleshooting
- Quality control processes and documentation
- Specimen processing and handling best practices
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clinical teams and patients
- Competency testing and training/mentoring junior staff
- Attention to detail, independent decision-making, and time management
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and record-keeping requirements
