Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Day); rotating call every 3rd weekend — Saturday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Day) in Janesville, WI

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare and position patients for exams, providing clear instructions and compassionate care to minimize anxiety
- Prepare, verify, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately, following vendor-specific ordering protocols
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and imaging equipment, ensuring proper image acquisition and technical quality
- Perform venipuncture and maintain venous access as needed for studies
- Evaluate and process digital images, archive to PACS, and submit studies for physician review
- Document procedures, medication reconciliation, and patient information in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and report any safety incidents or adverse events per protocol
- Assist PET services and collaborate with the team to optimize patient care and workflow
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program (required)
- CNMT or ARRT(N) certification (required)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture and prepare/administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record documentation
- Comfortable with occasional weekend call and rotating coverage responsibilities
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with nuclear medicine procedures and patient positioning
- Proficient with PACS and RIS image management and reporting
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and radiopharmaceutical handling
- Skilled at venipuncture and venous access maintenance
- Able to evaluate image quality and perform digital image processing
- Clear communicator who provides calm, patient-centered instructions
