Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and functional mobility
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy teammates, and family members to support patient goals
• Reassess and modify treatment plans to maximize meaningful outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and adaptive strategies to promote independence

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in skilled nursing/long term care or related settings is a plus
• Reliable professional with strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Master's or entry-level OTD in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent accredited degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT evaluation and intervention planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and ADL training
• Strong documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols in clinical settings
