Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, evidence-based physical therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on skilled therapy and progressive therapeutic exercise to help patients regain function
• Coordinate care with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless transitions
• Document treatment, progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Train and educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and community resources
• Adapt quickly while floating between facilities to maintain high-quality care across sites
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Mississippi, or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable floating between facilities and adapting to different patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills with attention to outcomes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular assessment and treatment techniques
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
• Knowledgeable about adaptive equipment, fall prevention, and safe patient handling
• Competent with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Strong patient education and motivational coaching abilities
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
