Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care assisting residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
• Support personal care needs including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity
• Document care interventions accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control procedures
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance their experience

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Ability and willingness to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification encouraged or available
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Comfort working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; prior experience a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and ADLs (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming)
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Competent in taking and recording vital signs and documenting observations
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nurses and therapists
• Good observational skills and the ability to escalate changes in condition
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively during a night shift
