Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and document resident condition changes and report concerns to nursing staff
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention strategies
• Deliver timely, friendly interactions that promote comfort and emotional wellbeing
• Follow care plans, infection control practices, and facility policies to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid for Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments; previous SNF experience a plus
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, patient hygiene, and safe transfer techniques
• Basic charting and observation skills with attention to detail
• Infection control best practices and proper PPE use
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
• Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with nursing staff
