Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote comfort and mobility
• Support meal service and document intake, honoring resident preferences and dietary needs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
• Collaborate with nurses and care staff to ensure person-centered care and excellent outcomes
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (or equivalent) — must be able to practice in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working a nocturnal schedule and supporting residents overnight
• Background check and immunizations in line with facility policy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A caring attitude, patience, and a focus on resident dignity and comfort

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
• Familiarity with infection control and hygiene best practices
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
