Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the facility record system
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active/valid state CNA certification or ability to obtain Pennsylvania state certification
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort working night shifts and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
• Compassion, strong communication skills, and a resident-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNA certification (completed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control practices
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic health records
• Ability to follow care plans and follow directions from licensed nursing staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide respectful, dignified care
