Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility with compassion and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Provide attentive, respectful personal care while maintaining privacy and safety
• Document care in a timely and accurate manner to support continuity and quality of care
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to create a positive care environment
• Build rapport with residents and families to enhance comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must be current and in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and working as part of a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Good documentation and charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Basic mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
