Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients while preserving dignity
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical observations accurately
• Support safe transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniques and equipment
• Document care events promptly and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania certification required or eligible)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with ADLs, resident lifting and transfer techniques, and safe patient handling
• Skilled at taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn EHR systems
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Good infection prevention practices and attention to safety protocols
