Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Provide safe and compassionate hands-on care that helps residents maintain independence
• Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support mobility and transfers using safe body mechanics and transfer equipment
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and coworkers
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that promotes resident wellbeing and comfort

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements (immunizations, TB screening, etc.)
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including standing, lifting, and assisting residents
• Team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic patient care and safety procedures
• Familiarity with infection prevention and sanitation standards
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-focused care and family communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Attention to detail and reliable time management
