Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support the nursing team by taking vitals, reporting changes, and documenting care promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote resident independence
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and courteously with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to protect residents and staff
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working an evening 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and collaborating with nursing staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a resident-centered approach
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and reporting
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable with bedside charting and timely documentation
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans and clinical direction
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong observational skills
