Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Safely transfer and reposition residents using proper techniques
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Accurately document care, observations, and resident needs in charts
• Support resident comfort and emotional well-being through attentive care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver excellent resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to meet facility requirements such as background check and health screenings
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and solid teamwork skills
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Good oral and written communication for working with residents and team members
• Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and take direction
• Basic mobility and transfer techniques to keep residents safe
