Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and support for activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nurse
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans
• Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Ability to work night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) reliably
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care preferred but new grads welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Valid state required background checks and immunizations as applicable
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited state-approved CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and teammates
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting and documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
