Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to promote resident dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition, communicating concerns to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Assist with meal service and documentation of intake, respecting dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the resident chart and handoff reports
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create a consistent, person-centered care plan
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential in good standing
- Travel LNA (T-LNA) designation or willingness to complete travel documentation
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain prior to start
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility health requirements
- Comfortable working in long-term care/rehabilitation settings and adapting to new teams
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with vital signs, basic charting, and reporting changes to nursing staff
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail for resident safety
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with residents and families
