Roles & Responsibilities

• Position patients with care and clear communication to capture diagnostically useful X-rays
• Operate X-ray equipment and adjust technical factors (voltage/current) for optimal image acquisition
• Review images for diagnostic quality and retake when necessary to ensure physician-ready studies
• Follow radiation safety protocols (ALARA) and use lead shielding appropriately
• Sanitize and perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment to keep things running smoothly
• Update patient records and document procedures accurately for clear continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARRT certification — REQUIRED (documentation required)
• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience — REQUIRED
• Proven ability to operate X-ray equipment and adjust technical factors
• Strong patient-care and communication skills for explaining procedures and positioning
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices (ALARA) and proper use of lead shielding
• Comfortable with record management and imaging documentation
