Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to assigned patients during overnight hours
• Perform timely medication administration and accurate documentation in the electronic chart
• Monitor patient status, perform assessments, and escalate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers during your shift smoothly and professionally
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license (active in the state of Maine or compact/eligible) — required
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and health screening (immunizations, TB test as required)
• Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN program completion)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and basic wound care knowledge
• Familiarity with standard infection control and safety practices
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively on overnight shifts
• Basic computer/EMR navigation for charting and med reconciliation
