Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic echo and vascular exams (TTE, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux, venous/arterial/carotid dopplers, ABI) per physician orders
• Complete studies efficiently and use downtime to assist colleagues and ensure timely patient care
• Ensure exam charges and the five-day late list are checked daily for the ultrasound department
• Organize workload during high-volume periods and communicate pending exams and pertinent information to the team
• Assist physicians with radiology procedures and advanced vascular interventions as needed
• Maintain supplies and a clean, safe work area; follow equipment cleaning and infection control policies
• Participate in required hospital and department in-services and meetings to stay current
• Follow attendance, dress code (traveler-provided matching scrubs), and on-call policies

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of sonography experience (REQUIRED)
• Proven Echo and Vascular experience (REQUIRED)
• Able to perform echocardiograms with Definity contrast (REQUIRED)
• Proficient in TTE, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous/carotid/arterial dopplers, ABI, pericardiocentesis, thrombin injections, and vein mapping (REQUIRED)
• Able to start own IV (REQUIRED)
• MediTech EMR experience (REQUIRED)
• Active ARDMS certification (REQUIRED)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) (REQUIRED)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (REQUIRED)
• Facility requirement: candidates' permanent address — White River will not consider applicants within 90 miles of Batesville; applicants 90–150 miles may be reviewed but not guaranteed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Philips Epiq ultrasound systems and Vasculab ABI
• Familiarity with PACS (Philips) and MediTech EMR
• Strong patient care skills and infection control practices
• IV insertion and peri-procedural support skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and communicate clearly with physicians and interdepartmental staff
• Comfort responding to on-call situations and working independently when needed
