Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for a large group of surgeons across multiple specialties
• Serve as the primary liaison between surgeon offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Ensure all cases follow ASC policies, optimize block utilization, and respect surgeon availability
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-ons while maintaining smooth patient flow
• Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to optimize daily case volume and room utilization
• Maintain accurate scheduling data in the ASC scheduling system to support operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and accreditation standards such as AAAHC/Joint Commission
• Provide excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC and support other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with outpatient surgical scheduling and ASC scheduling systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with surgeons, staff, and patients
• Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS rules, and AAAHC/Joint Commission compliance expectations
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules for multiple surgeons and specialties
• Comfort with managing same-day add-ons, cancellations, and rapid adjustments
• Good judgment, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a busy outpatient surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with ASC scheduling systems and maintaining accurate scheduling data
• Expertise in patient flow management, block utilization, and schedule management
• Strong coordination skills with anesthesia and nursing teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory and accreditation guidelines
