Location: Phoenix, AZ

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro tele patients, including CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
Titrate critical drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin
Interpret EKG rhythms and respond to central monitoring alarms
Collaborate with charge nurse, nursing aides, and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Perform bedside report and maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Float to tele units and tele overflow in ICU as needed

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro tele or critical care experience
Level 1 trauma experience is a must
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Proficiency in Cerner EMR and WOWs

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Competence in sterile technique for central line and Foley care
Experience with neuro patients and common diagnoses
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
