Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, same level of care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome
Must reside outside 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology and PCU patient care
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Chemotherapy administration and safety
EPIC electronic medical record system
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed acuity unit
