Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in PCU/IMC units, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) as needed, ensuring seamless patient care
• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and other medications with confidence and precision
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to manage patient acuity levels
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient needs, bringing your expertise wherever you are assigned
• Contribute to a positive work culture by being flexible and reliable

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU/IMC nursing experience
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must be comfortable with cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and titration
• Experience with Epic preferred; neuro experience a plus
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius zone and adapt to varying schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac drip management and titration (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone)
• Strong understanding of PCU/IMC patient populations including cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical cases
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, especially Epic
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle high-acuity situations with composure
