Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret continuous telemetry for adult and geriatric patients
Titrate cardiac drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and more
Provide PCU-level care and handle overflow with a 1:3 ratio
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure safe staffing
Read and interpret your own strips to catch changes fast
Float as needed to PCU, MS, or ER holds as a helping hand

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must have PCU experience and be able to read strips
Tele/cardiac RN experience strongly preferred
Epic experience is a plus, but first-time travelers are welcome
Ability to titrate drips and manage complex cardiac patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry monitoring skills
Proficiency in drip titration and medication management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 32-bed med/tele unit
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to floating and varied assignments
