Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-operative care for patients undergoing total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgeries, and bariatric procedures
Manage pain control via PCA pumps and monitor occasional heparin drips
Assist with early ambulation and hemovac/JP drain management
Conduct bedside shift reports to ensure seamless care transitions
Collaborate with a close-knit team in a supportive, positive culture

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
At least 1 year of recent Med Surg experience preferred
BLS certification required (AHA)
Surgical and post-op experience highly valued
Comfortable with floating to medical and telemetry units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in managing surgical drains and wound care
Ability to titrate drips (heparin, PCA) if required
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing patient load
