Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients on a 49-bed telemetry/cardiac/medical unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips, documenting at least once per shift
• Manage patients with CHF, COVID, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath care
• Care for post-operative total joint replacement patients
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to East Campus or PCU as needed, utilizing your adaptability and skills

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC) accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to read basic telemetry strips and pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts
• Experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
• Cerner experience recommended as orientation is limited to one shift

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and interpretation skills
• Proficient in managing titratable drips (e.g., Cardizem/Diltiazem at set rates)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry environment
• Willingness to float and support other units as needed
