Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends (2 full weekends per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute care patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and function
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress accurately in EMR (Meditech)
Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety
Precept and mentor new staff as needed

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in Texas
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
New graduates encouraged to apply with strong clinical rotations

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EMR systems, especially Meditech
Strong knowledge of acute care rehabilitation principles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage a caseload of evaluations and treatments efficiently
