Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 40-bed PCU
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate cardiac drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, etc.)
Assess and manage patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-procedure recovery
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and patient experience
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Float to MedSurg or ICU to support PCU-level acuity patients as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial lines and titration of cardiac drips
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Flexible team player with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy
Knowledge of patient experience best practices
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
Strong critical thinking and adaptability
