Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate-level care to patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine, and Epinephrine
Interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips for early detection of changes
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists to optimize patient outcomes
Assess and manage post-surgical patients and those recovering from cardiac procedures
Float to same-level or lower-acuity units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular or intermediate care unit
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for residency verification (50-mile radius rule)
Ability to pass a knowledge-based open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Care of patients with CHF, A fib RVR, CVA, and other cardiac diagnoses
Understanding of thoracic surgery, EP, and structural heart procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
