Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including post-surgical and stroke patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs, responding to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, maintaining sterile field during procedures
Collaborate with charge nurse and clinical supervisor to ensure safe patient ratios (1:3-4)
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans
Participate in orientation and pass competency exams on dysrhythmia and sterile technique

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent neuro telemetry nursing experience (within past 6 months)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proficiency in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Successful completion of dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
COVID vaccine or approved exemption with documentation
Able to pass sterile field competency exam on day 1 of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Neuro tele nursing and post-surgical care (craniotomy, spine, CVA post-TPA)
Advanced cardiac life support and rhythm interpretation
Sterile technique and infection control practices
Centralized telemetry monitoring systems
