Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to cardiac step-down and med/surg tele patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
• Manage cardiac-related therapies and devices including pacemaker and post-cath care when appropriate
• Perform and assist with procedures common to the unit such as thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis and tracheostomy care
• Administer respiratory support including high-flow oxygen and BiPAP and manage chest tubes when needed
• Safely operate infusion devices such as IV pumps and Kangaroo pumps
• Document patient care and clinical changes clearly and accurately using Meditech Expanse
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent bedside shift rounds and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (able to work in New Hampshire or eligible for travel licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably telemetry or cardiac step-down)
• Certifications required: ASLS and BLS
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac management
• Experience with Meditech Expanse or similar electronic documentation systems
• Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts, rotating schedules and weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac management and post-procedure care (including pacemaker and cath lab familiarity)
• Meditech Expanse documentation
• IV pump and Kangaroo pump operation
• High-flow oxygen and BiPAP management
• Thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis and tracheostomy care familiarity
• CIWA protocol knowledge and managing withdrawal patients
• Ability to work with chest tubes and manage complex med/surg tele patients
