Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and respiratory treatments safely and accurately
• Perform bedside procedures including Foley, IV and NG tube insertions when needed
• Complete IV blood draws when phlebotomy is short staffed and document care in Meditech
• Step in to assist with respiratory treatments when RT coverage is limited
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
• Support unit operations and act as relief charge/CNC when appropriate, helping maintain smooth workflows
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN credential (position is for a Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS required prior to start
• AccuCheck access prior to facility arrival (must have credentialed access)
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• CNC/relief charge experience is a plus
• Flexible, team-oriented mindset — you’ll fit right in on this busy 28-bed unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Foley catheter insertion and care
• Peripheral IV insertion and IV blood draws
• NG tube insertion and management
• Delivering respiratory treatments when RT is short staffed
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong assessment, communication and prioritization skills
