Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based telemetry nursing care to adult patients on the telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly assess and intervene for arrhythmias or alarms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical nursing interventions accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate proactively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Support unit needs by floating to Med/Surg when required, maintaining flexibility and teamwork
• Complete required competency exams, skills checklists, and maintain certifications

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (Nursys verification expected)
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS and DCI/BVP preferred or required per unit checklist
• Telemetry nursing experience or strong telemetry monitoring skills
• Comfort working night shift and rotating weekend/holiday schedule
• Successful completion of Prime assessments: Basic Pharmacology, Specialty, Core Competencies and Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings and drug testing, and meet vaccination requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Accurate electronic charting and documentation
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management during high-acuity nights
