Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry continuously and respond quickly to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Recognize and act on dysrhythmias to keep patients safe and stable
• Provide high-quality acute care for Med-Surg and telemetry patients, managing a typical 6:1 patient ratio
• Document care accurately in Meditech Expanse to ensure clear communication across the team
• Collaborate with physicians, LNA support, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care
• Participate in bedside care conferences and safety rounding to improve patient experience
• Manage IV and PCA pump therapies safely and according to protocol
• Support unit needs by floating when required and maintaining a flexible, team-first attitude

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (acute care experience of at least 1 year required)
• Dysrhythmia/telemetry skills required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and Meditech Expanse documentation
• Comfortable working a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and occasional floating

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia recognition
• Meditech Expanse electronic documentation
• IV pump and PCA pump management
• Medical-Surgical clinical skills and acuity management
• Patient safety practices, bedside rounding, and experience with unit staffing dynamics
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital setting
