Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality resident care using the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate and document
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Interpret diagnostic tests and integrate findings into the plan of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve positive resident outcomes
- Provide culturally sensitive education and support to residents and their families
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance care quality and safety
Qualifications
- Current California RN license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Experience or comfort working 12-hour night shifts in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Care planning, implementation and evaluation using the nursing process
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and adjust care plans accordingly
- Effective collaboration and communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Cultural competency and resident-centered education skills
- Familiarity with performance improvement methods in nursing
