Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU, prioritizing safety and compassion
Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with timely interventions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Communicate effectively with families, offering clear updates and emotional support
Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of practice

Qualifications

Active RN license in California
Experience working in pediatric intensive care or critical care nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; PALS and ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient- and family-centered approach

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing principles and pediatric intensive care expertise
Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced monitoring
Comfortable with rapid assessment and emergency interventions
Proficient documentation skills and ability to use electronic health records
Teamwork, adaptability, and family-centered communication
