Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
Monitor and manage ventilators, IVs, and other critical care equipment
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team
Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts when needed
Document patient status, interventions, and progress accurately and timely
Educate and support patients' families with clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact RN eligibility
Pediatric ICU experience preferred; prior PICU experience is a strong plus
Current BLS and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass hospital background checks and health screenings
Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, teamwork, and communication skills

Education

BSN preferred; ADN with relevant PICU experience will be considered
Current RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care principles and bedside management
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring familiarity
Medication administration, titration, and IV therapy competence
Electronic medical records documentation best practices
Family-centered care approach and effective family communication
