Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert, compassionate critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Continuously assess and monitor patient status, intervening quickly as needed
Administer medications, manage infusions, and operate specialized equipment safely
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
Educate and support families through complex care decisions with empathy and clear communication
Thoroughly document patient care and communicate handoffs for continuity and safety
Engage in orientation and unit-based training to uphold best practices

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license, Ohio preferred
Experience or strong interest in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nursing
Current BLS and PALS certifications, ACLS preferred
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-acuity pediatric nursing care
Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, family-centered environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care principles and family-centered care
Familiarity with ventilator management and other PICU technologies
Medication administration and infusion pump competency
Effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
Electronic health record documentation and clinical charting
Triage, rapid assessment, and escalation of care
