Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care techs
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license for radius compliance
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to titrate drips and manage complex patient loads
Positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and continuous EEG
Knowledge of stroke and diabetes management
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced environments
