Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and manage cardiac, neurological, and renal patients
Titrate vasoactive and seizure medications like Cardizem and beta blockers
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and interpret findings
Collaborate with charge nurse, techs, and interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with protocols

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal
Previous PCU or acute care experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Proficient in cardiac drip titration and EEG monitoring
Ability to problem-solve in a high-stress environment
Knowledge of adult and geriatric patient care
