Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and titrate IV drips such as Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
Maintain patient safety and satisfaction by focusing on responsiveness and communication
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support PCU acuity patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial line management
Experience in PCU, stepdown, or cardiac med-surg preferred
Ability to interpret telemetry and titrate drips
Flexible team player with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiac med-surg, stroke, renal failure, sepsis, and post-procedure care
Skill in titrating drips and managing high-flow oxygen
Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
