Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day or Night shift available: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (nights), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, post-op surgeries, and diabetic wounds
Monitor telemetry and titrate drips such as heparin and bumex as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and CNAs to ensure safe patient ratios and quality care
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
Float to assist other departments as a 'helping hand' when needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Oregon or eligibility for OR 90-day emergency license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as negotiated

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in med-surg nursing including post-op care and chronic disease management
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and basic drip titration
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to fast-paced environment with floating opportunities
