Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, plus 8-hour shift options. Every other weekend. Self-scheduling.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU, Oncology, and MedSurg unit
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions including trauma and oncology diagnoses
Administer chemotherapy medications (with certification) and titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem
Perform ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology nursing experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
ONS/ONCC certification required (chemotherapy certification preferred)
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility (verified by driver's license)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in PCU nursing, oncology nursing, and trauma care
Skilled in IV therapy, drip titration, and ventilator management
Competent in hemodynamic monitoring and EMR documentation (EPIC)
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed unit environment
