Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 days per week; weekend rotation (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period; Nights: Fri-Sat; Days: Sat-Sun); self-scheduling after initial schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient bed assignments across multiple hospitals (500-1000 beds) using TeleTracking and Cerner
• Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate unit placement (e.g., MedSurg vs. Tele) and escalate concerns to charge or leadership
• Manage real-time patient flow by communicating with ED, leadership, and other departments via multiple Google applications and chats
• Ensure efficient bed utilization while maintaining a zero hands-on patient care role

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Recent acute care experience (2 years preferred; no more than 1 recent LTC contract; will decline if last 2-3 assignments were SNF)
• Must not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
• Must pass DYS exam (Relias Dys exam within 12 months accepted) - 2 attempts allowed
• Limited to no RTO (requests off must be minimal)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong proficiency in TeleTracking and Cerner
• Excellent computer skills, including Zoom and Google applications
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving for patient placement decisions
• Understanding of different hospital units (MedSurg, Tele, ICU, etc.)
