Location: Santa Maria, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, flexible with occasional weekends (every 3rd weekend)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, helping them regain independence
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments using Oasis documentation
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PTs, SLPs, and nursing staff
Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR
Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current California Occupational Therapy license in good standing
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum one year of occupational therapy experience
Experience with Oasis documentation is required
Home health experience is preferred but not required
Proficiency with Cerner EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
Knowledge of home health regulations and Oasis requirements
Comfortable using electronic medical records (Cerner)
Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
