Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions in a 40-bed PCU
Titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to rhythm changes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medications
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with arterial lines, titrating drips, and telemetry interpretation
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays
Flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent teamwork and patient communication
Knowledge of PCU patient populations including cardiac, stroke, renal, and sepsis
