Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days/nights based on unit needs, includes weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients including those with CHF, diabetes, UTIs, and post-operative conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips to detect cardiac arrhythmias
Titrate heparin and cardizem drips within prescribed parameters
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of acute care clinical experience
Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or compact state
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Ability to titrate heparin and cardizem drips

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and patient populations
Skill in drip titration and IV therapy management
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
