Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)

Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating call with 30-minute response time; every other weekend; 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray imaging studies including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision
Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity for image management and documentation
Collaborate with radiologists and lead techs to ensure accurate diagnoses
Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients
Float to Mercy Southwest location as needed

Qualifications

ARRT certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Proficiency with GE and Toshiba equipment
Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in X-ray and general radiology procedures
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Strong patient care and communication skills
Team-oriented with ability to work independently
