Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends every other weekend, holidays every third

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and manage cardiac, stroke, and nephrology patients
Titrate intravenous drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and critical thinking assessments
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum of 1-2 years of PCU or acute care experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% score
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and critical thinking ability

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac and neurological assessments
Proficient in titration of vasoactive and seizure medications
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and adaptability
