Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients in a 28-bed mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dieticians for holistic patient care
Float to med/surg and PCU units as required
Conduct hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology and PCU nursing
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification and Chemo certification required
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Skilled in IV therapy and chemotherapy administration
Ability to titrate common drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
